North Carolina had an abundance of farmland where they could farm tobacco. As for economic market products, the most famous were deemed as the "Big Three": tobacco, textiles and furniture. These three exports resulted in large profits for North Carolina's economy (33). South Carolina made money through the slave trade where they exported more than 40,000 slaves for labor in the agrarian society (32).
