In the Pennsylvania Colony, the economy depended mostly on agriculture. There was little to no manufacturing and industrialization. People farmed for wheat, and hunted animals for beef and pork as well as chopped trees for lumber. (19) They exported grain and other food. (14) They exported these items to the west Indies and Madieras for rum, sugar, cotton, Spanish money, and wine. (19) Some other things they exported were apples, glass, rope, and brick. (22)
